Tomas Lapinskas

Prof. Tomas Lapinskas is a cardiologist specializing in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases at the Department of Cardiology, Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kauno klinikos. He has unique expertise and interest in non-invasive cardiovascular imaging, especially cardiovascular magnetic resonance. During his studies, Prof. Lapinskas completed several cardiovascular imaging fellowships at the University of Ghent (Belgium), University Medical Center Rotterdam (The Netherlands), University Hospital of Vienna (Austria), and German Heart Center Berlin (Germany) from 2010 to 2012. From 2016 until 2018, he worked as a senior research fellow at the MRI-Core-Lab of the German Heart Center Berlin. From 2018 to 2019, Prof. Lapinskas studied at the University of Zurich (Switzerland), specializing in advanced heart failure. Prof. Lapinskas is a frequently invited speaker and shares his knowledge at national and international scientific events.

Since 2018, Prof. Lapinskas has been acting as Director for Public Health, Research, and Education at the Hospital of Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kauno klinikos. He is the President of the Lithuanian Society of Cardiology.
